Project: Discover more about your personal style

Every Friday is Project Day at Peace & Projects.

If you’re like most homeowners, you don’t like paying for interior design. Instead, we’d rather spend hours of our life and free time researching design – on the Internet, through luxurious home magazines and hours of HGTV.

I’ve found that its easy to put myself in a box when it comes to design. And of course, its labeled with, “modern, slightly romantic with a dash of Pottery Barn.”

With a little direction, you’ll discover that your design sense spills into several areas of taste – and that’s ok. Lets start with some basic “categories.” Below, I’ve posted several photos that are a pretty good match to the design description.

Hm, I think Eclectic with a dash of rustic is right down my alley.

I would have to say put eclectic and rustic/country together for me.

I wish I could live in that stark modern style but But My house always ends up more contemporary. Modern and kids just seems to difficult. I still love to look, it helps me remember to clean the house!

Our style changes room by room. The ‘man-cave’ is modern/contemporary, while the dining room is eclectic and the kitchen is industrial modern with a touch of retro 30′s/40′s. Somehow it does all work together though.
