Amazing work in progress

amazing journeyI’m an inspired worker bee thanks to Leo Baubata’s call to do “something amazing.”

If you haven’t read his series on finding and doing something amazing, now is the time to click on these links (just be sure to come right back for the rest of this awesome post):

How to Find Your Amazing Work

Ultra-Simple 3-Step Productivity System for Getting Amazing Things Done

These posts changed my life. They helped me realize I was only spending a tiny part of my energy doing my amazing work.

Now, my view has shifted – rather than focusing on just getting through another day, I focus on doing something amazing. And speaking of something amazing, when you start to see your actions in that light, another amazing thing happens – you become happier. You find your purpose… though perhaps not at first.

At first you might find amazing work hard to believe in – the idea of doing what you love for a living seems reserved for very lucky, rich people.  But I don’t believe that anymore.

I’m thrilled to announce a new series for my blog:

Tracy’s Amazing Journey.

You’re probably wondering, “Who is Tracy and why should I care?”

Truth be told, there’s nothing very remarkable about Tracy. She hasn’t found the cure for AIDS, she doesn’t make a lot of money, and you probably wouldn’t even look twice if you passed her on the street.

What she brings to you is this: her amazing work, uncovered.

After years of not feeling very passionate about school, her career or life in general, the past few months have brought those walls crumbling down.

Again, you may be thinking: “Why do I care?”

Well, Tracy has decided to make her journey public. She is currently employed as a full-time insurance agent, but has seriously begun to pursue her amazing work until she can make it her full-time career. And she’s agreed to give me an honest, transparent view of this Amazing Journey – the obstacles, fears and successes along the way.

This series is a must-read for the everyday person that’s ever:

  • Felt the world had more to offer but didn’t know where to look.
  • Rooted for the underdog.
  • Wanted a drastic change of circumstance, but didn’t know how to start.
  • Needed a shot of inspiration to get back on track.

The journey has begun. Walk with us.
