I feel compelled to caution you and ask you to rethink putting clothes in the dryer before bed or when you're not home. The dangers of a dryer catching fire while your family is gone (or far worse, asleep!) are far too great. I make it a practice to run the dryer only when I can keep an eye on it. We leave a light on (pennies) and the door to the laundry room ajar, and then it's easy for us to remember that we were doing laundry. Love the hanger idea though. We have CFL’s in our laundry room.
