1. Whatever you do, make sure it’s important. Lately, my focus is rewriting my novel to send out by deadline and taking care of my family. When you know what your most important things are, that will completely change the way you approach life – and your to-do list.

3. Feed your body well. Cut back on sugar, processed carbs and alcohol.

4. Give people your attention. Suppress the urge to constantly multi-task. When someone talks to you, look them in the eye and really listen.

5. If something isn’t working, change it. Not every idea for a stress-free, simpler, happier life will work for you. When that happens, try a new approach. Experiment with your routines until you find a solution that fits who you are.

I love this quick list. I am a big do-er of #5. If it’s not working I find it hard to rest until I have fixed or at least can think out a short or long term plan to fix something.
One of my most important things in life is to be really really good at something. I wish I was good at writing
Lovely list. I’ve cut out alcohol completely and I’m surprised how much better I sleep – thus how much happier I am! Love the Ghandi quote, too – I’ve not heard it before. Thanks for sharing!
