My Wish for You

May your holiday season be filled with joy.

Safe travels.

Good food.

May you break free from self-doubt.

Let go of whatever is dragging you.

* * *

May you know your own limits

and know that sometimes, bad things happen to good people.

May you realize your own power to change.

To control yourself.

To make the internet stop.

(This list of wishes thanks to this post.)

* * *

May you make good art.

Write that book

and if you are struggling, look to one of your greatest resources:

To reach out, to stand up, to say, “This is my life,”

or, “Something about this isn’t working.”

* * *

May you simplify.

Do something amazing.

May your dreams come true, little by little, and may you revel in small victories.

Life update

My agent and I have been hard at work revising ARROWS. This is an exciting time in my writing career, but the path is inevitably slow, like everything in publishing. I am learning patience, always, and learning not to rush.

Since I’m only happy when I’m writing a book, I started a new one – a young adult contemporary. I’m about 20K into the first draft, and hope to share more about that project in the months to come.

Merry Christmas, everyone.

I’ll be back next year.
