Look Up

You may have already watched this video, tagged as “a poem that will inspire you to put down your smartphone.” If not, it’s certainly worth a view.

I’m guilty as charged, being on my phone too much. At times, this is very deliberate–I’m an introvert, and don’t always feel like talking to people. I may very much mean to┬ábe lost in my own world, whether I’m reading an article online or scrolling through Twitter.

But that video was a good reminder that I want to use my phone with intention.

When I’m on it, I hope it’s because I intend to be on Facebook, or refreshing my mailbox, or watching cute videos of my niece.

I don’t want to be on my phone out of pure boredom, or procrastination, or simply because it’s become habit. If that’s the case, I’d rather look up.

I’ll be working on that.

Life Update

I’m working on ARROWS revisions again (yay!). That means all of my other books are on hold, for now.

While I’m working on edits, a dear friend is helping me overhaul my website to better fit me as an author. I’ll keep you posted on our plans.

Finally, summer is almost here with all its fun times and activities. If you’re wondering where I am, follow me on Facebook and Twitter to find out what’s keeping me busy.

Sunny, Zen thoughts …
